Careers Information
We would like to welcome you to our Careers area, which has been designed to provide all stakeholders with the information needed to ensure that our learners leave us not only with an academic and technical education but are also prepared for the world of work.

The curriculum at Silverstone UTC is centred around high quality careers and employment. Students benefit from employer projects and significant contact with employers.

Our Mission
We aim to prepare learners to have the skills and knowledge to fully embrace the range of pathways available by providing opportunities, information and guidance to increase confidence, build resilience and raise aspirations. We are determined that our learners will take responsibility for their achievements in their journey as they make their way into the wider world of work or further / higher education.
We are committed to ensuring our young people are the best they can be and recognise that together we can make a positive contribution in filling the skills gap in industry by linking closely with employers throughout their time with us at Silverstone UTC.

Throughout their time at the UTC, students will be helped to understand their chosen pathway and will be supported by staff to apply for their choice of sixth form, college apprenticeship or University.
No matter which pathway students choose, they will be supported in aspects, such as completing application forms, preparing for assessment centres, and completing personal statements.

Independent Careers Advisors
We have independent careers advisors to ensure that students have direct access to impartial, expert guidance about their future pathways. Their presence enables timely, one-to-one support for learners exploring post-16 and post-18 options, including further education, apprenticeships, university routes, and employment opportunities. By working on site, advisors can build strong relationships with students, understand individual aspirations and barriers, and provide tailored advice that supports informed decision-making. This approach strengthens careers education across the school, ensures compliance with statutory guidance for impartial careers provision, and helps students make confident, well-supported transitions into their next stage of education or employment.
